Summer
We are back! A full whole week blown away so rapidly right off my fingertips! Days are shorter when you have fun! The sea water is fresh. But the sun is biting, enough to put on bikini marks. David was terrified by the sea, “il fait froid la mer” according to him. And as to the swimming pool, he made a pact with me, “je vais à la piscine, mais je nage pas! Je marche seulement dans l’eau! Ha ha ha ha, the kid is looking for boracay waters jud! Ambot na lang.
If the bosses allowed us for a three-week leave, it’s would have been the Caribbean or Boracay. But a week! That’s a torture to head off to the tropics. Unless, some Samaritan out there with their private jets would lend us one
Anyhow, who would have thought that the sun is hot and lovely in the South of France, after months and months of bloody weather in Paris . C’est bien raté la Paris Plage! C’est fini l’été!!
And this is my first time ever to experience a full two weeks without our kiddo. He decided to stay in the South with his lola to frolic the last days of summer, enjoy the sea, the beach, the manège, the late walk in the starlit skies and the food! Not mention the boat ride to St Tropez and the constant vroom, vroom. And to pick some Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Chinese words. Inig uli adto mag “asta la vista na ang bugoy ko”.
I wouldn’t blame him for forgetting us… for a while. When he’ll be back, school is a whole new world for his less-than-four-year-old head.
The worst part of the vacation, as usual, is the traffic! It’s like the whole of France has gone South, mingling with the Spanish, the English, the Italians and the Dutch. But then you learn to beat it! As long as it’s not me driving bwe he he he…
I have two days more before going back to work. What’s the best in Paris ’s movie houses?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANG! Praying always for your good health and happiness! We love you!!
